Maryland State Police are investigating the death of an eighteen year old man found along a rural road in Talbot County.
The deceased is identified as Samuel Cross, 18, of the 27,000 block of Tred Avon Road in Easton, Maryland. Cross was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shortly after 6:00 a.m. today, Maryland State Police from the Easton Barrack were called to the area of Bozman-Neavitt Road and North St.Michaels Road for the report of a deceased man lying in a gravel portion of the roadway. A green Honda Pilot, belonging to Cross was found parked near the scene.
Investigators received information indicating that Cross’s body may have been moved from a rural area located at Claiborne Road and Old Claiborne Road in St. Michaels to the Bozman-Neavitt Road location earlier this morning. Police also believe Cross may have been in the St. Michaels area with friends last night.
Police urge anyone with information to contact state police at 410-822-3101. All calls will remain confidential.Troopers summoned Maryland State Police crime scene technicians and investigators from the State Police Homicide Unit. The body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
State Police investigators will continue this investigation throughout the night. No further details will be available until sometime tomorrow.
